Expert-in-residence, social worker and veterans crisis care line supporter, Desiree Sanchez-Rainey, MWS joins us to share practical methods to help you find constructive, positive ways to cope instead of leaning into the destructive or negative coping mechanisms. We cover everything from simple breathing techniques and improving sleep to finding joy in everyday tasks. Come along as we discover practical ways not just to get by, but to make it through with grace when life gets tough!

Desiree Sanchez-Rainey, MSW is currently a Crisis Responder at the Veterans and Military Crisis Line as an employee of the Veterans Health Administration. Previously, Desiree worked in many facets of the child welfare system where her goal was to prevent removal of children from families and reunite families that had experienced child removal. As a social worker, Desiree has assisted many different populations in accessing mental health services to address their needs. Desiree lives in Seattle, WA with her husband and two beautiful sons.
